	1.  Under telegraphic authority from the Secretary of War, dated
September 3, 1940, received by Governor ROY E. AYERS, Commander-
in-Chief of the Montana National Guard, and quoted herewith for your
information:
	"UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF PUBLIC RESOLUTION NUMBER
	NINETY SIX COMMA SEVENTY SIXTH CONGRESS APPROVED
	AUGUST TWENTY SEVENTH NINETEEN FORTY COMMA THE
	PRESIDENT HAS GIVEN HIS SIGNATURE TO EXECUTIVE
	ORDER NUMBER EIGHT FIVE THREE NAUGHT COMMA AU-
	GUST THIRTY FIRST NINETEEN FORTY COMA ORDERING
	ALL ACTIVE ELEMENTS OF THE FORTY FIRST DIVISION
	NATL GUARD OF THE UNITED STATES OF THE STATE OF
	MONTANA AND ALL PERSONNEL OF BOTH THE ACTIVE AND
	INACTIVE NATIONAL GUARD ASSIGNED THERETO COMMA
	INTO THE ACTIVE MILITARY SERVICE OF THE UNITED
	STATES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER SIXTEENTH NINETEEN
	FORTY.

all units of the Montana National Guard, and all officers and men of 
the active and inactive National Guard of Montana, which are com-
ponents of the 41st Division, with the exception of the State Staff and
State Detachment, are hereby ordered to report at the appointed ren-
dezvous on the morning of September 16, 1940, and will be mobilized
in accordance with the provisions of AR 130-10.
	2.  All inactive National Guard officers and enlisted men will
report to the unit to which they are now assigned or attached.
	3.  All phases of AR 130-10, governing the induction of the National
Guard of Montana into the Army of the United States, on the above-
mentioned date, will be strictly adhered to.
